I am a nature-inspired photographer currently based in South Bend, Indiana.
I am romantic, genuine, outgoing and I love nature.
Thoughts on traveling: I’m not gonna say that I love traveling (oops.. I just did). Traveling is one element of my life and one of my hobbies. Traveling doesn’t mean I have to go across the ocean every now and then. Traveling in your area counts! Experiencing new towns, new restaurants, meeting local people and learning about their traditions is traveling for me even if it took only 30 min by car from my home.
My travel approach: I’m curious and I like authenticity. I like traveling to “the middle of nowhere,” but also seeing highlights (who doesn’t like Paris or Rome?). I like meeting with locals and am happy to learn about their lifestyle, favorite places and to see cities through their eyes. A lot of my trips are pretty spontaneous, but some are well planned. I tend to be a budget traveler, but sometimes spend something more for extra comfort or for an interesting experience.
My life: I was born in the beautiful Kamchatka peninsula on the Pacific coast of Russia. From there comes my love of nature, mountains, the ocean… and photography. I studied geography, and worked in the hospitality industry, in a travel operator company, and as a tour guide in Europe.
Photography: Photography is another element of my life. I work as a photographer in South Bend, Indiana, and here you can check my portrait work. I also like photographing for myself and as a hobby. I don’t take my camera with me all the time, but it’s a must-have item during my travels.
What’s this travel photography blog for?: First of all, it’s here for myself, like a photo album of places I’ve visited. If you like my photos, I’ll be happy if you look through my blog. Secondly, I’m happy to share some tips on places and trips I’ve taken!
